Web Design Basics
Start your journey in IT with design
In today’s world, it’s impossible to imagine a website or application without beautiful and user-friendly design. It is the designer who creates an interface that one wants to use. The course covers graphic editors, basics of composition, color theory, and students will learn how to analyze the market and target audience, which will allow them to start their way in designing web interfaces.

Course Program
The course focuses on usability and usability in web design. The basic tools for prototyping and creating layouts are reviewed.
Introduction. What is design. Getting to know Figma
Interface, working with layers and styles, components, autoleauty
Color Theory
RGB and CMYK, color in web design, contrast and accessibility
Typography and Composition
Terms and concepts, text layout rules, header levels, basic rules for working with content, proximity theory, interaction of elements
Grids and Layouts, UI-kit for designer and developer
Buttons, icons, text boxes, dropdowns and their state when interacting with the user
Photoshop and Illustrator
Introduction and study of tools, basic retouching, clipping, pen and shape work, familiarity with digital interfaces, basic UX elements
UX design and UX artifacts
Business requirements research, competitor analysis, target audience analysis, design laws and rules, user flow, user story, user path art
Practice
Learning to do web page design, prototyping, adaptive design. Preparing the final project
